PAYMENTS MATRIX REPORT

The Payments Matrix Report provides a detailed cross-tabulated view of all transactions processed through the Ramsys POS within a specified time frame. It breaks down total sales by the specific payment methods used (e.g., Cash, Credit Card, EFTPOS, Gift Vouchers, On Account).

This report is highly analytical and serves as the primary tool for store managers and accounting staff to perform end-of-day banking reconciliation and identify any overages or shortages at specific registers or by specific operators.

Select a specific date for daily reconciliation or a range for weekly/monthly auditing. Time filters can also be applied for shift-specific reporting.

UNDERSTANDING THE REPORT OUTPUT

Date: The transaction date.

Sales: Gross sales value for that row (before discounts).

Trans: Number of transactions counted.

Type: Payment method (Cash, EFTPOS, Credit Card variants, etc.).

Amount: Value of transactions for that specific payment type.

Banked: Banking reference number and status (Banking Closed, *Banking not Closed, dedew amounts, Banking Ref: HKFG, etc.).

NOTES ON REFUNDS

Refund transactions are represented as negative values within their respective payment type columns. Ensure you account for these when reconciling physical cash drawers.

Banking Status Indicators

Banking not Closed: Store has not balanced the Banking.

Banking Closed: Store has Balanced the Banking on the POS.

Banking Ref: Reference number for the banking transaction (e.g., Banking Ref: 432, Banking Ref: HKFG).

At the close of business, the physical cash in the drawer and the terminal settlement totals from the EFTPOS machine must be compared against this report. A clean matrix allows you to quickly verify that the Cash column matches your physical drawer count and the Credit Card/EFTPOS columns match your batch settlement receipts.

Identify any variances between the Amount shown in the report and what was physically banked or is still in the drawer. Cross-reference banking status indicators to ensure all transactions have been properly cleared.
